PANCRATIUM MARITIMUM 21
The Sea Lily (Pancratium Maritimum) grows along the shores of the Mediterranean. In winter it retreats completely underground, disappearing from sight to survive storms and cold. In summer, its bright white flowers re-emerge on the sand dunes. Inside their petals are small cork ampullae that allow the seeds to float, travelling far across the sea.
A flower born in a hostile landscape, capable of withstanding the elements and reaching distant territories. For Caterina Moro, the Sea Lily becomes the symbol of resilience: as quiet strength, beauty that endures, transformation as a natural gesture.
The print is designed in collaboration with Roman street artist Lucamaleonte, known for his contemporary herbariums and bestiaries painted across the city’s walls. Luca had painted the lily leaving the wall raw, marked, imperfect—beauty appearing where one least expects it. Caterina translated that gesture into textiles by printing with organic pigments on raw, natural fabrics. The erased mural found a new form.
This is resilience.
The beauty of Lucamaleonte’s lines stands out on Wastemark certified recovered fabrics, a symbol of beauty finding a way through the elements. The color palette focuses on neutral tones—white, sand and rope—alternating with bright shades such as lime, wisteria and bluette.
Pleating is proposed on airbrush-inlaid white denim and on recycled polyester georgette. Hints of moulage, small and intimate drapes embellish garments created in raw fabrics: after the storm, we rediscover the fun of dressing up.
A capsule of jacquard knitwear in organic cotton completes the collection.
PANCRATIUM MARITIMUM is a wish for 2022.
An intimate and sustainable luxury, in harmony with the planet.
A renewed concept of beauty, flourishing where you least expect it—on a dirty wall or on a sand dune.
