METAMORPHOSES 23
METAMORPHOSES was born from the emotion raised in Caterina Moro by Canova’s sculpture at the Galleria Borghese: Apollo pursuing Daphne as she transforms into a laurel tree. In that suspended moment, feet, hands and hair become leaves and roots. Sculpted in marble, a woman becomes a plant.
From this image, Caterina Moro defines metamorphosis as a fluid territory where forms shift, merge and evolve. METAMORPHOSES becomes the brand’s most nature-driven collection—an ongoing exchange between botanical elements and human silhouettes.
The collaboration with photographer Germano Serafini and the MACROMICRO project expands this vision: natural elements passing through the microscope eye of the photographic scanner and recomposed into a new visual language. A spring meadow—ears of corn, clover leaves, wild plants—is re-created and transformed into art.
The palette reflects the clarity of the season: white, grass green, mauve and lime, contrasted with rope, jute and earth tones. Shapes explore the idea of transformation through versatile scarves, jackets and urban pieces designed to shift and adapt.
Materials include organic cotton knits, certified denim from Berto, linens, raw Wastemark silks printed with organic pigments, Econyl and recycled polyesters, complemented by bio-based finishes developed with the Blue Italy Bio Project.
METAMORPHOSES proposes a contemporary idea of exclusivity rooted in the brand’s ethos:
E AR T H — Earth as Art.
Nature as the new luxury.
